Disney’s official fan club D23 announced a partial list of member activities in 2025 on November 25, 2024.
Destination D23 2025
The biggest event of the year will be Destination D23taking place August 29-31, 2025 at Walt Disney World near Orlando, Florida. The biennial convention alternates with California’s D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event (formerly known as the “D23 Expo”).
Destination D23 is new for 2025 and will be held at the Convention Center at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. The event was previously held at Disney’s Contemporary Resort meeting space; with the change in location, Destination D23 will “more than double in size” in its 2025 iteration.
The theme for Destination D23 2025 will be “Journey to Disney World.” Newly released artwork depicts Mickey Mouse carrying a briefcase, as well as Carl Fredrickson’s house from “Up,” the spaceship Jeanneba from “Lilo and Stitch,” and “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.” Captain Nemo’s submarine.
Disney has yet to announce specific programming for Destination D23 2025, aside from “exclusive presentations from the Walt Disney Archives and The Walt Disney Studios, as well as exciting entertainment and glimpses into all of the world of Disney.”

Destination D23 (formerly known as “Destination D” when debuting) 2010) initially focused on Disney’s history, in stark contrast to D23 Expo’s flashy future presentation. Destination D23 has included more and more announcement-based programming over time, and fans can usually expect some theme park news at some point during the weekend.
