Press Release Miami, December 10, 2024 — Half Moon Cay, a critically acclaimed and award-winning exclusive destination known for its beautiful beaches and crystal clear waters BahamasChanging name RelaxAway, Banyue Island to support its enhanced functionality and the experience guests can expect when immersed in this tropical paradise. The announcement was made today in conjunction with Holland America Line and Carnival Cruise Line.
The two cruise lines are collaborating on enhancement projects that include expanded beachfront experiences, lunch options, a variety of bars and other features to enhance the destination’s natural beauty and tropical appeal. A new pier on the north side will allow ships to dock, including Carnival Excel-class ships visiting the island for the first time.
Guests will arrive at unique welcome plazas on the south and north sides of the island, which span more than a mile of white sand beach. The existing development on the south side will receive a refreshing Bahamian-style renovation, a new beach club, an updated lunch venue and revamped facilities. The north side of the new development will feature two lunch venues and a variety of island-themed bars. A new tram service will also be launched to make traveling easy and convenient. In addition, the recreation area will be expanded with the addition of cabanas, and a new shore excursion dock on the north side will provide recreational activities for guests. All upgrades at RelaxAway on Banyuedao are designed with nature in mind, including architecture that complements the island’s stunning authenticity.
